Laura Stern

CTC acting alum and the lead plaintiff, Laura has spent the past several decades working backstage as the Wig Master at the prestigious Guthrie Theater. Both ferocious and wounded, Laura is the only plaintiff to actually go to trial, and becomes the face of the survivors during litigation.

Rana Haugen

Rana was CTC Artistic Director John Clark Donahue’s child star from age 5-15. Her status as the theater’s darling came to an abrupt end in 1985, when she became the only female whistleblower to expose the abuse that had been taking place at CTC. That act of bravery cost her friends, her beloved theater community, and ultimately her home when she fled for the West Coast.

Jina Penn-Tracy

Groomed and violated as a minor by CTC actor and teacher Jason McLean, Jina was coached in the 1980s to pressure other students to lie to investigators and a Grand Jury that no abuse had happened. Afterward, additional children were abused at CTC. Still carrying this guilt with her, Jina is a passionate voice about the complicit role communities play in covering up childhood sexual abuse.

Donn Goff

A promising child actor, Don Goff was groomed from a very young age and abused by multiple male CTC students, an adult staff counselor and later by Donahue. At his mother’s urging, he decides to file suit on the very last day. Don struggles with relationships and his own self-esteem, but he hopes that supporting Laura, Rana and Jina in their efforts will be a powerful opportunity for him to begin to heal.
